Kudzu Klinics

The Kudzu Klinic Program is designed to provide an opportunity for low-cost instruction of correct basics for lower-level riders and their horses. A Trainer or Lecturer is donating their time for the betterment of the sport and enjoyment of our riders.  For example, in a Dressage Ride-A-Test format there will be one to two riders in each 45-minute session, with a maximum of 8 sessions.

Lectures may be given at the clinics. Auditor "walk-ins" are welcome, though pre-registration is required due to COVID and so that the lecturer can bring enough material for all participants.

Requirements:

1.     You must be a GDCTA member to ride.

2.      A copy of a current negative Coggins certificate must be sent with entry.

3.      Riders must include payment with entry to reserve a place in each clinic. Pay online or by check.

4.      All entries must include a signed copy of the GDCTA Hold Harmless agreement.

Check with organizers for full details.

    Dressage Kudzu Klinic

    Instructor: Anne Zaharias

Come learn from Anne Zaharias at Skyview Farm in Riceville, TN. Get feedback and practice in a fun learning environment to help improve for training. We have a covered dressage arena with mirrors so no rain date.

    STABLING:

We have typically a couple open stalls for overnight stabling. Availability for an RV electrical hookup. Stabling or a nominal trailer in fee due from participants to Sharon Yates. ($10 trailer-in per horse, or $25 for day-use stall, $40 overnight stall.)

The farm  is marked with a Skyview Farm sign at end of driveway. It will look like a residential neighborhood road but follow it around a sharp left curve and you will see the farm to your right. If you continue past the farm it is a dead end without much room to turn around.

    More about Anne:

USDF bronze and silver medalist earned on self-trained horses. She's also an L program graduate. She has a strong understanding in biomechanics with a degree in physical therapy where she practiced for 7 years before becoming a full-time dressage trainer. Anne competed early in her career across other disciplines such as show jumping and eventing; she enjoys working with these riders as well bringing dressage principles into practice in order to produce more fluid, adjustable, and consistent performances. She consistently seeks education; her current mentors are Amy Speck-Kern and JJ Tate.
